Exciting bantamweights Guido Cannetti and Randy Costa will throw down in October.

Cannetti (9-6 MMA, 3-5 UFC) meets Costa (6-3 MMA, 2-3 UFC) at a UFC Fight Night event on Oct. 1, which doesn’t yet have a publicly known venue or location at this time.

Two people with knowledge of the matchup recently informed MMA Junkie of the booking but asked to remain anonymous since the promotion has yet to make an official announcement. ESPN Deportes was first to report the booking.

With his job potentially on the line, Cannetti snapped a three-fight losing skid in his most recent outing when he finished  Kris Moutinho in the first round at UFC Fight Night 203 in March. The win marked Cannetti’s first finish since 2013.

After a hot stretch of back-to-back first-round knockouts of Boston Salmon and Journey Newson, Costa endured two straight TKO losses to Adrian Yanez and Tony Kelley. All six of the Massachusetts-born fighter’s wins have come via first-round knockout.

With the addition, the Oct. 1 lineup includes:

    Chelsea Chandler vs. Leah Letson
    Vinc Pichel vs. Jesse Ronson
    Tabatha Ricci vs. Cheyanne Vlismas
    Guido Cannetti vs. Randy Costa
